“Airpods 2” the highly anticipated next-generation Airpods, was quite disappointing for Apple customers. There were no significant differences between Airpods 2 and the original Airpods, but this time, we have “Airpods Pro” Pro! Why say?, because every Apple devices have a “Pro” label in it. Let’s say, assuming “Airpods Pro” was inevitable.
There are many earbuds available in the market, but Apple’s Airpods has always stood out from the rest with its key feature: easy Voice control over Siri to adjust volume, change songs, make a call, and many more. The new Airpords Pro has a significant upgrade from the original Airpods and is available for whooping $250 in eight colors, including black, white, and a Midnight green.
What are the Upgrade?
We can assume Apple has done quite a lot of research for their new wireless earbuds. The new “Airpods Pro” is easy to set up and comes with Apple’s H1 chip, which will let you quick-interact with Siri. It offers 4.5 hours of listening time with noise cancellation on and 3.5 hours of talk time in a single-charge.
Noise-cancellation and Transparency Mode
This time the new “Airpods Pro” have an active noise-cancellation rather than just a tight seal attached to the ear. The level of noise cancellation can be customized and can even be set to “Transparency Mode” which will allow you to hear what’s happening on your surroundings without having to take it off from your ear. It also runs “quick audio test” to ensure the fit will enable best-possible active noise-cancellation seal for your ears.
If you exercise daily with earbuds plugged-in, then it will be worth as they are water-resistant IPX4 i.e., both water and swear resistant. Although water-resistant doesn’t mean you can take it to the pool or submerged deep in water- they will get damaged if you do so. There are many complete waterproof earbuds available in the market for deep-diving.
Airpods Pro offers more customization than one-size-fits-all. Inside the Airpods Pro box, you will get three different sizes of silicone ear tips. Airpods Pro will scan your ears when you wear them and will even help you to find the correct fit through the “Ear Tip Fit Test” which will ensure you to have a correct fit for your ears.
Airpods Pro offers superior sound quality with Adaptive EQ, which will automatically tune the low and mid-frequencies of the music to suit the shape of your ears and can also extend battery life. It makes clear and more immersive audio with booming bass.
Is it Worth?
If you are an Android user, you can’t get a major outcome of Airpods Pro and access to “hand-free Siri” it will be just a regular Bluetooth headphone. There are many alternate Android earbuds that are way cheaper and have similar specs. I will recommend Google’s upcoming “Pixel Buds 2“, which will be available in 2020.
There is no longer debate on choosing alternatives for Apple users, thanks to Apple’s ecosystem. It is by far the most advanced Apple earbuds you can get in the market. However, it has a poor battery life and costs $250. If you are looking for better battery capacity then, Powerbeats Pro will be the right alternative as it offers almost twice battery life than Airpods Pro but lacks noise-cancellation.
