  1. Google has finally made the move to end Play Music officially, by bringing the sale of downloadable Mp3 to an end. Google Play Music's ending has been announced back in the early days of August after the company decided to pull the plug and direct its corporate juices towards Youtube Music - the newly launched streaming addition to the Google arsenal. The Play Music App is still active regardless of the shutting features. Reports suggest, however, that it is set to officially end throughout the world by the end of the year. The End Of Mp3? Google play music was on
  2. If you read Google blogs, you might already have read this news yesterday about How AI is powering a more helpful Google search. A sub-set of this AI universe is a neat little addition to the Google Search where you can reportedly 'hum' a song to find out details about it. Gone are the days of torment when you have a song stuck in your head that you just can't remember. Although apps like Shazam provided little relief, it requires you to be pitch perfect : quite a task for most people out there. The Google 'hum' search is reportedly much better than this and you don't need any kind of pit
  3. On Tuesday oct 6 on Google workshop google announced that Gmail will be getting a new logo in coming future. Apparently it is done to make it look more similar to google logo itself, Google Photos, Google Maps, Chrome, and other Google products. Google considered to remove remove the M altogether and the red but people involved in the user research weren't happy. google realized that the envelope part of the logo wasn't the critical portion of the logo leaving google room for experimenting more with the M. In the end the final product was the picture you see. How do you feel about the ne
  4. Alphabet Inc., Google's parent company, has revealed a prototype for a crop inspecting Robot. The Team at X's twitter account revealed more information and it is understood that this is an attempt to look at 'EACH' plant individually in a field to induce better harvest. The robot hovers 'over' plants with a four wheel setup intended to not disturb plants during the process of collecting data. The design reveals suggest that it would be similar to the street carts we see on a daily basis here in Nepal. This project is named as Project Mineral. Image Source : Mineral The Need For
  5. YouTube is reportedly working on a feature that will help users buy products 'presented' in YouTube video directly through YouTube without having to be redirected to the buyer's website. As noted aptly by Whitney Kimball of Gizmodo, "YouTube, Too, Is Reportedly Turning Into a Mall" An Age Of Mutations Technological changes come exponentially given our history. We are making progress and changes faster than we ever were. Distance between people has been reduced from walking for days to just a click away. Given this speed, it comes as no surprise that the holy grail of entertainment
  6. According to several reports as well as concerned twitteratis, Google has made a new addition to its series of 'Go' apps designed for low-end Android phones in the form of Gmail Go. Most importantly, these Go apps are available to download in all Android Phones including the Flagship Pixels. The apps are available in the Play Store, however, Gmail Go has not made it to the Nepali Play store as of yet. Changes At a Glance The Apps are listed much like the parent apps with a little 'Go' symbol at the bottom. Gmail Go appears very similar to the main Gmail app with a few changes made to
  7. Tasks on Phone Google Calendar is getting Tasks on its Android and iOS applications. At this point, you can add and view tasks in Google Calendar app for mobile as well which was restricted to the Web prior to this announcement. This is quite an addition when considering the need of versatility in today's world where most people like services on-the-go. This update is being pushed to all users with Google accounts and those utilizing Google Suite, and would take as long as about fourteen days to arrive. What Did the Company Say Google said in a blog entry that adding tasks to G

  9. Delete Carefully If you are anything like me, you probably have the habit of deleting files which you 'think' you do not need; only to realize later that it was important after all. Thankfully, google drive kept those files for you, but not anymore! According to reports, Google is changing its trash policy starting on the 13th of October. Now files in Trash is going to be deleted automatically in 30 days. This change applies to all google services including photos and email. OLD FILES? Before this, Google kept your files in Trash no matter how old they were. I personally h
  10. FIGHTING MISINFORMATION Google has also joined Twitter in fighting election related misinformation through their platforms. Given the amount of data-input Google has, there is no way they can tend to each and query individually. It has long been relying on the auto-suggest feature that embodies the search mentality of the masses to predict what one was likely to type. However, in recent update, Google vouched for helping spread misinformation by removing "auto-suggest" or "autocomplete" whenever users search for anything related to the upcoming Presidential elections or the can
