The PubG Mobile Global Championship, PMGC, is set to kick-off today with 24 team from all around the world competing for the grand prize-pool of $2 Million. The league will continue for four weeks until the 20th of December and will be played on both weekdays and weekends.

Because of the COVID pandemic, the league will take place online similar to the PMPLs and even the PMWL season 0.

Unlike the PMWL season 0, there will not be a seeding round in the PMGC to group the teams together. The organizers have already decided the groups based on a number of seeding criteria including play-style and  approach.

Format

Another change to the PubG Mobile world league was that the number of teams was increased from 20 to 24. Out of the 24, 16 teams will qualify for the PMGC finals.

The format for the PMGC remains similar to the PMWL season 0 where ALL teams play on weekdays and top 16 from those are qualified for the super-weekend. Only the points from super-weekend are calculated for the top 16 that will be making it to the final stage of the competition.

A Nepali Matchup With Chinese Pros

A mobile eSports haven. Bigetron matching up with Nova XFQ is going to be a treat; with players from 4-Angry Men looking unstoppable. That and RRQ's tactical genius. All against new Blood from Nepal.

The eSports scene has never been at such a grandeur state of being. Mobile gaming has flourished in Nepal in recent times given the accessibility as opposed to PC games. More players can be seen opting for eSports than ever before. Amidst all this, seeing Nepali teams match up with the likes of Nova XQF who are the literal definition of PubG mobile Gods is going to be a treat for regular audience and aspiring players alike.

Be it DRS's fearless approach or ASL's impending gun-power - the matchup against experience and skill is sure to open up more ways for us to expand the growing eSports scenario further.

Let us know below who are you rooting for this PMGC. I certainly want to see ASL take the crown - dare to dream :classic_laugh:

The PMGC is scheduled to start streaming on the PubG Mobile Esports youtube channel at 4:45PM NPT.
