Among Us boasted half a billion users in November: Reports

According to Superdata, Among Us had half a billion monthly users in the month of November making it the most popular game ever in terms of monthly users. The Game overtook another popular hit of 2020, Fall Guys, back in September in terms of the number of downloads.

Despite the popularity, Among Us did not manage to boast large financial figures as the game was not too focused on monetization. According to the report, Among us made 64% of its earnings from the $5 upfront PC charge which makes up for only 3% of people who played the game. 

The multiplayer game based on people's social deduction skills was released in 2018 which came back as streamers began streaming it on popular platform Twitch. US rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez managed to amass a mega-army of over 400,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch in October.

Additionally, SuperData reports that Digital games earned a total of $11.5 billion in November which is a record in terms of monthly revenue.
